Paid Positions (2022)
Surf Camp is always looking for long-term team members who are interested in working with kids, love surfing, and can see summer employment at Surf Camp as part of their long-term plan. Many of our team members have been working with us for 5 or even 10+ years and form a core part of our team.
Surf Camp Counselor - Full/Part-Time - Surf Camp is currently seeking applicants for Camp Counselors to work both full- and part-time in the 2022 season. The most desirable candidates have significant surf experience in addition to experience teaching or working with kids. Camp Counselors should bring an enthusiasm for the ocean and the outdoors, and be able to pull their weight in a team environment. Work opportunities include full-time, part-time, weekends, and evenings (Adult Camp). Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid certification through Red Cross required. Beach Camp Counselor - Full/Part-Time - We are currently seeking applicants for Camp Counselors to work both full- and part-time at Beach Camp for 2022. This position requires an interest in working with kids, the ability to be creative and enthusiastic, and an understanding of safety especially around the water. Applicants should bring enthusiasm for the ocean and the outdoors, and be able to pull their weight in a team environment. Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid certification through Red Cross required. Unpaid CIT Positions (2022)
Surf Camp has several open CIT positions for the 2022 season. CITs gain experience working in a team environment, teaching surfing, and learn valuable communication skills in addition to spending time outdoors and improving their surfing skills.
Important Information and CIT Requirements:
- Most CITs works for 1 to 3 weeks over the course of the summer. This allows us to extend opportunities to as many interested applicants as possible.
- CITs must be at least 15 years of age to apply.
- CITs must be available Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 3:15pm, and have reliable transportation to and from Scarborough Beach.
- CIT positions are unpaid. While becoming a CIT is not a guarantee of future employment, we often hire CITs who do an exceptional job for paid positions in camp.
