Paid Positions (2025)
Surf Camp is always looking for long-term team members who are interested in working with kids, love surfing, and can see summer employment at Surf Camp as part of their long-term plan. Many of our team members have been working with us for 5 or even 10+ years and form a core part of our team.
Camp Supervisor – Full-Time
Surf Camp is looking for a dedicated Camp Supervisor to play an integral role in daily team leadership for the 2025 season. This role is ideal for someone with strong ocean and surf experience, a passion for working with kids, and leadership skills to manage daily camp operations. The Camp Supervisor will ensure a safe, fun, and structured environment for campers while overseeing camp counselors, running check-in/check-out, and maintaining safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management – Supervise and support camp counselors, ensuring a positive and professional team environment.
- Camper Experience – Lead daily meetings with campers, engage them in activities, and foster a love for the ocean and surfing.
- Check-In & Check-Out – Manage daily camper arrivals and departures efficiently.
- Safety & Risk Management – Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring compliance with lifeguard and first aid protocols.
- Program Execution – Help coordinate daily surf sessions, activities, and any special events.
- Communication – Act as a primary on-site point of contact for parents, staff, and campers, ensuring clear and positive communication.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Ocean-Savvy & Experienced – Strong background in surfing and ocean safety.
- Great with Kids – Previous experience working with children in a teaching, coaching, or camp setting.
- Leadership & Teamwork – Experience leading teams, managing schedules, and providing feedback.
- Safety First – Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid certification through Red Cross required.
- Reliable & Enthusiastic – A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a passion for outdoor education.
- Availability – Must be available Monday - Friday from June 9th through August 29th, with the ability to take up to two weeks off (unpaid).

Unpaid CIT Positions (2025)
Surf Camp has several open CIT positions for the 2022 season. CITs gain experience working in a team environment, teaching surfing, and learn valuable communication skills in addition to spending time outdoors and improving their surfing skills.
Important Information and CIT Requirements:
- Most CITs works for 1 to 3 weeks over the course of the summer. This allows us to extend opportunities to as many interested applicants as possible.
- CITs must be at least 15 years of age to apply.
- CITs must be available Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 3:15pm, and have reliable transportation to and from Scarborough Beach.
- Lifeguard Certification is not required to be a CIT, but it is required to be a paid employee in the future and is strongly recommended for CITs as well.

- CIT positions are unpaid. While becoming a CIT is not a guarantee of future employment, we often hire CITs who do an exceptional job for paid positions in camp.
